In Q2, NWS continued our service initiatives and put our core value of People First into action. These efforts benefitted local organizations that provide financial and housing aid to vulnerable youth and adults. All locations participated in building summer essentials, hygiene and first aid kits.
Our Carrollton, TX location served Elevate North Texas. This organization provides housing insecure youth ages 18-24 with shelter and case management.
In Blainville, QC, NWS continued to assist CALEB. This group provides weekly food service and counseling to low-income individuals in Blainville.
The Greensboro, NC facility continued its partnership with IRC, a center offering services to Greensboro’s unhoused population including medical services, laundry, and showers. IRC serves as a central access point for community services.
The Westmont facility continued its partnership with its neighbor People’s Resource Center. This organization provides a food pantry, computer access, emergency rent and mortgage assistance, job coaching and more to the community.
Lastly, our NWS facility in Mississauga, ON, joined SHIP’s summer campaign to provide Youth Comfort Kits to residents of their Peel Youth Village. This program provides young people ages 16-24 with transitional housing and support services.
Thank you to our team members for their enthusiasm and support of our communities.
